AMV Green Rallye 2026: Our AXP Racing Skid Plates Put to the Test

For the second year in a row, the AXP Racing team hit the road for the AMV Green Rallye. The “happy people’s” gathering lived up to its promise: three days and nine tracks to ride. We came back smiling, covered in good dirt, with memories we don’t want to put away.

A gathering for enthusiasts

Every year, the AMV Green Rallye brings together trail riders in an atmosphere where people come as much to share as to ride. The 2025 edition, the third, had already drawn more than 330 riders, with Stéphane Peterhansel and Pol Tarrès in attendance.

For this fourth edition, in the Trail Spirit Experience format, we set up our bikes and bags near the Château de Lastours, with the whole team: Laurie, Xavier, Aurélien, Martin, and the friends who joined us.

Three days in the field

Day 1: Ride. Bike check before the start: KTM 390 Adventure R, KTM 790 Adventure, KTM 890 Adventure, KTM 1390 Adventure, and Kove 800X Pro. Then it was time to hit the trails: photos, videos, discovering the new tracks around the château, a massage session to recover, and a brazier dinner with long conversations between riders and customers.

Day 2: Test. New tracks, GPX rides, and exploring the countryside. To test yourself, nothing beats a little head-to-head: climbing a bumpy slope as fast as possible. On the AXP Racing team, Aurélien took up the challenge with flying colors.

Day 3: Land. After those intense days, we needed a little time to come back down to earth… One last morning of riding to finish the tracks, then back home, a bit sore but happy.

Seeing skid plates put to the test

This is the part we like best. You hear about a skid plate, you see ours, or rather yours. But it’s only when you step away from the workshop and the spec sheets that you can truly judge them: on the trails, in the dirt, among the rocks, in the ruts. Over these three days, we saw bikes fitted with our protection take on rocks, mud, and technical sections, across a variety of models and brands.

Admiring all these skid plates was already a pleasure, but seeing them at work is even better! They protect the engine, the frame, and the crankcase covers, and let riders ride with peace of mind.
